Welcome.
You’re going to be really glad you found this. If you have a Boat with Twin engines, Trips or Quads you’re going to want to put me on your Christmas Card List.
It is a fact, not an opinion, a fact that these engines, Yamaha Four Strokes will last and last and last. IF MAINTAINED. I am in the Marine Industry and have seen many of these engines used in the Fishing Charter Industry or even the Marine Patrol that have over 10,000 hours. You, the Occasional boater will never get anywhere near that. The schedule is to perform a Major Service on your engine every 100 Hours. This is common. All outboards, regardless of the manufacturer have a 100 hour major service schedule. Do this and your Engine will never let you down. This engine is truly a Master Piece.
Here is your opportunity to start now and save Year after Year, by learning from a Master tech exactly how you can perform this service yourself.
This is a step by step video Tutorial that shows you in depth exactly the tools and parts you’re going to need, and…..
How to:
Access and Remove the filters
The oil
High pressure Fuel
Fuel
- How to remove and replace these
- How to remove and change the oil
- How to replace the thermostats
- Safety tips along the way
- The Key components of the Bi-annual service
- How to perform a Compression Test and What its Findings mean
- How to remove the lower unit
- How to replace the water pump Impeller
- How to change the lower unit oil
- How to diagnose issues in the Lower unit
- How to replace zincs
- How to drain and change the lower unit oil
- Tips to make this service Safe and Easier
- Inspecting the prop/prop shaft and Hub
- What carbon Build up does to your lower unit
- How to be certain that you put things back where you found them
- Checking the prop
- Checking the trim assembly
One of the most important things there is to learn, in the steps is lost in a diagram. In a diagram you cannot see how to access all of these filters and connectors. Knowing this, and being taught by a trainer that has performed hundreds of these, really assures you of error FREE work.
Imagine, performing the Thermostat replacement, getting the engine back together and realizing that you left off a wire along the way, and the engine will not run. This would really s#@%. With the amount of detail that Carlos shows you, this won’t happen.
The fact is “You can do it yourself, with training“.
The fact is, dealers are delegating this job to their least skilled tech, an apprentice perhaps, but charging between $600 and $1000 per engine. They want you to believe that it is required by the engine manufacturer for you to hire them to perform these services, and that is just not the case.
Once you have this training, you can perform these services yourself each 100 hours and your engine will last and last. I do recommend for you to get genuine parts and I even provide a link for you to buy them through West Marine.
I also provide a link to Northern Tools for you to buy any of the tools that you don’t already have.
I managed Boat dealers for 10 years. It was my job to make the place profitable. When I discovered that I could have my $12 per hour apprentice techs perform these services, without error and charge $110 per hour for his time, I went on a quest to advertise for this business. It was very profitable. I could keep my lead mechanics working on difficult jobs and have these annual services flowing through the place at a good profit. I assigned a service manager, to supervise the work and check it before it left the shop. Guess who is doing the videos????? You got it, the service MANAGER. He has trained many to do exactly what he is showing you.
Think of all the money you will save, and be sure it is being done right.
- A step by step Guide - I separated this into the two Major Components, the Power head and the Lower Unit
- I also provide an itemized video series that allows you to visit any part of the video that you wish to. It is simple and totally removes any Hassle, if some part of the video leaves you confused.

- The Video can be replayed every year when it comes time to perform - Buy the DVD version and plug it in to your laptop or download to your phone and use it every year for many to come
- Save Every time you need service - Want to figure out this videos Value? Multiply the savings of nearly $900 per engine by the number of engines and then again by the number of times per year you perform this service and then again by the number of years you own those engines. Don’t stop there. Add in the added value you can capture by being able to provide evidence to the next owner that you perform these service each 100 hour interval.
- Can I have a WOW? -

Sincerely, Drake’s Boat Repair
| No need for fine print. If you’re unhappy for any reason. Let me know. You get a full 100% REFUND. Good for a full 60 days from purchase. |
You’re going to get, the videos that we have already discussed.
A true step by step guide /training about how to do the full 100 hour service on your Yamaha outboard. The detail will impress you. The first one is 34:50 and the second, who is the Lower unit, is 43:18. So, this is no 6 minute free YouTube crap that insults your intelligence.
Listen, I am slightly embarrassed to say this, but I am not the mechanical guy that you probably are. I pay people to do most repairs or services for me. However, I too, was affected by the economy and had to consider learning how to do some things myself. I just can’t afford to pay the kind of money that the dealer is charging and I am certain that YOU or I can do this with this video series training. I also think that there are some things that it would be foolish to try to do yourself. I think that the dealer and you have a relationship that has value. I also think that there are times when, we all need to look for ways to cut some of the cost of boat ownership, and this is one of those times.
No matter what, I have an Iron clad refund policy that lets you be 100% safe from making a mistake. See below.
So, if you’re like most of the boaters that I have ever met, let’s face it, your Boat is your escape. She is your way to “let go ‘ and leave the Turbulence in your life at the dock. She needs for you to treat her, like she’s your girl.
- Buy this :
- And keep care of her engine (heart) yourself. You know it is done right. You stop paying “stupid money” for the services that you can do yourself. and
- If because you did her services, you really learned your way around her, if something did happen on the water, you will be better prepared to take care of it.
- Hey, we all know these things are engines; they are very sophisticated these days. The more time you spend with your hands on her, the more she’s “yours’.
The product will cost $97. I went around a little on the web and ask guys what I should charge for this and no one said $97. They all said $297 to a full blown engine maintenance course for $497. Hey, I am a boater, and in the biz, I think it is time you got a break. The only thing I ask is when you go get a new one, one of these days, check with me I may just have a video for that engine as well.
I decided that I was going to threw in a little bonus.
I had Carlos talk to you a little about Ethanol. I also had him show you how to test your batteries, and electrical systems check and how to change your water separator and what it means when you see degree in the system.
Free Bonus #1 (The ethanol education Value)
Could prove Invaluable.
Free Bonus #2 (How to change the separator Value)
I have no idea, what this is worth, but I could guess what a tow bill from a Sea Tow agency would cost. If you, because you did not know this, and got stranded would be worth. Anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand.
